Our Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) training is a one-day course for board members and senior management to enable them to understand their roles and responsibilities for managing information and cyber risks. The course is designed to help develop and implement a good security culture where best practice is embedded into the business. Senior executives don't need to be technical experts, but they do need to know enough about cyber security to be able to have a fluent conversation with their experts and understand the right questions to ask.
The course covers:
- Introduction to cyber security
- SIRO role and responsibilities
- Supporting roles and responsibilities
- Key questions a SIRO should be asking
- Developing good governance
- Data handling and the law- including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- How to identify and manage cyber risks
- How to build cyber resilience
Courses are delivered remotely over Microsoft Teams.
