CHECK testing at Scale for Central Government

Case Study

A large central government department has partnered with Aristi to deliver CHECK-standard IT Health Checks (ITHCs) across a complex and high-volume technology estate. Through a dedicated delivery model, robust prioritisation processes, and a strong focus on continuous improvement, Aristi has consistently provided reliable, high-quality assurance at scale. The longevity of the relationship reflects the department’s confidence in Aristi’s expertise and ability to support mission-critical government systems.

The Challenge

The department operates an extensive and diverse IT estate spanning internal and external systems, critical national applications, and cloud platforms. This environment generates a continuous and often fluctuating demand for CHECK-standard ITHCs, with testing volumes peaking around regulatory deadlines, programme milestones, and live service transitions.

The key challenge was ensuring consistent access to appropriately skilled CHECK-accredited consultants, while retaining the flexibility to prioritise urgent or overlapping requests without impacting quality or delivery timescales. In parallel, the department required strong governance, predictable delivery, and transparency over performance to support planning and assurance at scale.

The Solution

Aristi implemented a dedicated delivery model designed to meet the demands of a large central government client. Several hundred days of CHECK-standard testing are delivered annually by Aristi’s in-house team of CHECK-accredited consultants, covering the full breadth of the department’s estate.

A senior account manager works closely with departmental stakeholders, including cyber leads, project managers, and procurement teams, to forecast demand and proactively plan capacity. This is supported by an integrated Project Management Office (PMO) and scheduling team, which aligns forecasted ITHC requirements with Aristi’s internal delivery schedule to ensure the right skills are available at the right time.

To manage competing priorities, Aristi applies a dynamic prioritisation framework that assesses requests based on criticality, regulatory deadlines, and operational impact. The scheduling team operates in real time, reallocating resources as requirements evolve and enabling multiple concurrent ITHCs to be delivered without delay. Regular coordination meetings and weekly planning calls ensure alignment on scope, progress, and upcoming demand.

The Outcome

Aristi has consistently delivered large volumes of CHECK-standard ITHCs while maintaining flexibility, responsiveness, and a high standard of quality. Urgent and business-critical assessments are prioritised effectively, enabling the department to meet regulatory and operational deadlines with confidence.

Through monthly service review meetings, performance against KPIs and SLAs is actively monitored, feedback is captured, and opportunities for improvement are identified. This continuous feedback loop, supported by regular management information reporting, ensures the service remains aligned to the department’s evolving needs.

The result is a trusted, long-term partnership that provides the department with reliable assurance over its security posture and the confidence that its most critical systems are supported by a proven, scalable, and professional delivery capability.
